“People-oriented, caring for life” is the core philosophy of the university in which HungKuang University has always adhered to since its establishment. Under this concept, the university focusing students through high-quality teaching, nurturing high-quality, competitive, independent, and adaptable competence to the rapidly changing society are the direction of our school’s efforts. To achieve this goal, the Center attempt to construct effective support systems, consulting channels and learning platforms to enable students, teaching units and teachers to receive the necessary support, resources and assistance when needed. To do so, three questions must be carefully considered:
(1) Does the school have an effective support system, consultation channel and learning platform to provide students in need with the necessary support, resources and assistance? Furthermore, are there close and systematic ties between these support systems, consulting channels, and learning platforms, and yet known to the students?
(2)Does the university have an effective support system, consulting channels, and learning platform so that “teaching units” in need can receive the necessary support, resources and assistance? And is there a close and systematic connection between these support systems, consulting channels and learning platforms, and yet known to these teaching units?
(3) Does the university have an effective support system, consulting channels and learning platform so that teachers who need help can get the necessary support, resources and assistance? And is there a close and systematic connection between these support systems, consulting channels, and learning platforms, and yet known to the teachers?
These three questions reflect on the one hand that the center plays the role of “support”, “assistance” and “resource integration”; on the other hand, they reveal the direction of the center’s development.
